Is It Spring Yet?

Who doesn't love the chance to begin again? I haven't made any formal New Year's resolutions, but I do take advantage of the month of January to take stock and make plans for the coming year. I love getting a beautiful new wall calendar each year and having the time to dream about opportunities and adventures to fill up those big white boxes. One of my most favorite things to do in January is plan for my spring garden. This year I'm craving luscious, old-fashioned flowers (with maybe a few practical veggies mixed in for my health). I'm so inspired by Erin of Floret Flowers and by my friends closer to home, Karen and Karley of Verbena Florist, whose homespun bouquets are overflowing with floral goodness. My dreams have turned from visions of sugarplums to cottage gardens brimming with sweet peas and dahlias, foxglove and honeysuckle. And I pray for a nice wet winter so my spring dreams can come true!
