The First Day of Fall

The beginnings of things are always so thrilling for me. Not such a great maintainer, I have let my blog languish to the point of needing a fresh start and a friendlier blogging platform for my cottage industry, Honeysuckle House. The summer was long and HOT and filled to overflowing with adventures. There was little time for crafting and even less desire to be out in our triple-digit heat sanding and painting! But now, with the first day of autumn here at last, I'm returning to my outdoor workshop brimming with pent-up creative juices. Nothing beats treasure hunting at the antique markets popping up like pumpkins this time of year, and I've collected some wonderful objects I'm so excited to share! I love everything about fall--apple-picking, pumpkin picking, faded plaid flannel shirts, scarecrows, hayrides, warm cups of chai tea on crisp mornings... and of course the opportunity to start fresh.
